UL 2085 Fireguard tanks are protected tanks that include an above ground tank with a secondary containment. The interstitial space contains an insulation system, which is intended to protect the primary tank from physical damage. The insulation system limits the heat transferred to the primary tank when exposed to a 2-hour hydrocarbon pool fire. The UL 2085 listed protected Fireguard tank meets ballistics and impact protection per the UL 2085 standard. The tank also meets the standards of NFPA 30, NFPA 30A, IFC, CARB testing requirements for air emissions and STI F941.
