Because customer needs vary, Clark Welding offers a variety of tank supports from which customers can choose. In addition, we can custom-build supports for above ground storage tanks to meet customer needs:

We provide light-duty options for small tanks, i.e., anti-roll u-shaped supports and tubular and angle iron skids.
We offer heavier supports for larger tanks, i.e., UL type saddles, pipe skids, and heavy-duty skids.
Specifically for gas and oilfield jobs, we provide heavy-duty mud-boat skids with a solid bottom plate and pull bar.

What Tank Supports Do I Need?

The type of tank supports a customer’s needs depends on a few factors. The first factor is whether or not the tank will be permanently placed in one stationary location. If this is the case and the tank is not relocated, u-shaped supports or saddles would be the ideal option.

Secondly, the tank size would be a factor. The supports we offer will vary by tank size. For instance, a tank of 5,000 gallons or more would need saddles or wide flange beam skids. See the chart below for more information on our support for above ground tanks.
